You might not think of a 2000s car as a classic, but some collectors are already seeking out the BMW E46, as evidenced by the rising prices of the desirable M3 trim.

Maybe if it had the supercharger from the factory. I believe the e39 528 came with an optional supercharger which increased the HP to ~300hp.

The only Mobil 1 oil that’s ever been on the approved oil list WAS 0W-40. Mobil changed this oil so it’s no longer on the approved oil list. I run LiquiMoly oil in my M240i.

Remember that even just a bixenon headlight replacement on this car costs $1,000 (for the assembly). So don't be stupid thinking this car will be fine for a 16 year old working at mcdonalds. Its a hate/love relationship. However, any car with over 100k is bound to have issues. The E46 chassis, especially the Sport Packages, are very handsome cars. The handling is fantastic, even compared to my S2000, and the interior is very clean and has aged well. If you're good at working on your own vehicle, go for it.
